How quotas are counted

Quotas are account-wide totals. Deleting a resource frees its slot right away.

Domains

  • Each domain you add counts as 1. One domain gets one certificate.
  • A wildcard such as *.example.com counts as 1, and its certificate always includes example.com too.
  • A root domain such as example.com counts as 1. When you add it you choose whether the certificate also covers www.example.com (on by default, cannot be changed later).
  • Any other subdomain, such as api.example.com, counts as 1 and covers only itself.

Deployment targets

  • Each place a certificate is pushed to counts as 1: a certificate path on an SSH server, a CDN domain, a load balancer listener, and so on. See integrations for the full list.

Certificate monitors

  • Each public HTTPS endpoint you monitor counts as 1. Monitoring only reads the certificate the endpoint serves and needs no credentials. It is counted separately from managed domains.

Included in every plan

  • Both DNS-01 validation modes: your own DNS provider credentials, or a one-time CNAME delegation.
  • All supported DNS providers, deployment targets and notification channels.
  • Automatic renewal and redeployment, with notifications when issuance or deployment fails.
  • Certificate download in Nginx, Apache, Tomcat, IIS and HAProxy formats.
  • External certificate expiry monitoring.

Payment and renewal

Payment is handled by Stripe.

Subscriptions renew automatically every month or year until you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds and payment issues are covered in the Terms of Service.
